Biography

Like a coven of witches under a Gibbous moon, I dance the razor edge between fantasy and reality. I function well enough in the real world, but throughout my day I glance fondly and often toward my fantasies, hoping that someday I can shake off the real world’s hold on me, and jump butt first into delicious whimsy. As a reader I am very impatient. I quickly lose interest if a story doesn’t have a good pace and snappy dialogue. My inability to focus in a backwash of human angst and subtleties works out well for my readers, since I write the way I like to read. In my real life, I live on a hobby farm in Indiana with 8 dogs, 4 horses, 2 barn cats, 2 daughters, and one husband. Not necessarily in that order. Inspiration

I have always been inspired by magical and fantastic things. I'm pulled in by stories that offer larger than life problems and feature edgy, capable characters who may not do everything perfectly, but who are perfectly capable of solving every problem they encounter, one way or another. Where most of us live in a beige or pastel world, I envision my fantasy world as a world of vivid and throbbing hues, fraught with split second decisions and world shattering problems. My characters live in this world because they have to, I write about it because I need to, and readers visit it because they want to!
