Biography

Robert A. Ramage, born March 1950 in Iowa City, Iowa, was raised in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and is a USAF veteran, 1968-74. Mr. Ramage currently resides in Fond du Lac, WI with his first wife, Sharon. Divorced for 25 years, they got back together 6 years ago. They have a daughter, Sarah. He began writing poetry at the age of 14(1964), while in junior high school. Many of his teachers would be instrumental in his remaining diligent in his writing. Graduating on June 6, 1968, he entered the Air Force in August of that year.

Inspiration

My teachers at Sabish Junior High School(1963-1966)and my teachers at L.P.Goodrich High School, both in Fond du Lac, WI. These people inspired me by recognizing my creative potential and nurturing that spirit inside me to catapult me in my writing career and the dedication to that spirit to continue it. Many of the authors we studied at that time really started my hunger for writing: Frost, Dickinson, Shakespeare, Byron, Hemmingway, T.S. Elliot, Emerson, etc.
