Biography

I was born in Western Australia to parents Maida and Arthur and by age six had lived in every state on the mainland. I was schooled by school of the air and then sent to boarding school in Broken Hill. Mother of four, I did truck driving and security to put them through school and keep the family farm. I started writing seriously at about forty yrs. I am an animal lover and am committed to helping hurt, distressed animals. I have a chihuahua and she goes everywhere with me. I do love books, especially Bryce Courtney and Katherine Cookson. I have never picked up a book that wasn't worth reading. Right now I work for a charity called Uniting Care Wesley and in the process I am learning about the very competitive world of retail. I am enjoying it though it is good to do something so worthwhile. Inspiration

I have always loved stories from the time my mother told me fairytales to the time I studied Shakespeare at high school. I have always love telling yarns and I guess the writing sort of went on from there. I wrote my first book Tales from the Sand Hills because I wanted to write a book about some very different Australians. Not everyone in the outback owns a sheep station.
