Biography

Author Rick S. Decker was born in 1957 in Florida. The middle of three boys. After graduating high school I began writing as I traveled on foot across the USA / Canada and even Alaska for five long but very rewarding years. In 1976 I promised myself that I would someday write a book. Thirty three years later I kept that promise. My book will be released in Sept 2009. Inspiration

The inspiration for writing this book came from my fun and adventurous childhood. Which continued throughout my adult life. I wanted to contribute to society by writing an adventure book that would inspire children and even adults to live a healthy, active and productive lifestyle. I am a proud American who still believes in a bright future for our country, despite its recent moral decay. I am a strong supporter of national literacy and see it as very important to our future success as a nation. "Ricky's Adventures" is full of valuable life lessons, making Ricky a positive role model for kids of all ages.
