Biography

I was born and raised in a small town in Iowa. I served much of my adult life in the US Marine Corps. Teaching English, writing fiction and nonfiction, and developing lesson plans for ESL classes has been the focus of my post-Leatherneck life. My writing has appeared mostly on ESL websites, in local newspapers, and in local Marine Corps publications. Now, I wish to broaden my experience and take my writing to new levels.

Inspiration

My writing inspirations are many. My family, a collection of the most improbable gaggle of misfits likely to grace the glorious plains of the Midwest. The Marine Corps - the greatest force of elite warriors the world has ever seen - has inspired me in every aspect of my life. And, Japan and the Far East are inspiring in even the most difficult of times.
