    Look and Listen

    Biography

Raised in the Midwest, I also lived in Az. Took a detour to Tehran, Iran for over a decade. I do freelance editing, web site administration and am writing a book or two.

    Inspiration

Influences include: H.H. Munro, Leo Tolstoy, James Thurber, Colette, Maya Angelou, Aldous Huxley. I love British humor. The first long book I remember reading is Black Beauty, a classic book about a horse. I was eight years old when I read it and that story actually caused me to lose my innocent view of the world. At first I could not fathom how any human being could even consider hurting an animal. That book changed me, and I knew it. Like most avid readers, I was always looking for new things to read and learn about. As a teen, I devoured books on psychology and self-knowledge, and loved A. Maslow, H. Hesse, E. Berne and A. Watts.
