Biography

I was born on 23 July 1988, in Hämeenlinna, Finland. I have lived some years in Brussels and Luxembourg. Now I live in the greater Helsinki area in Finland. I speak Finnish and English as my primary languages, and I have studied Swedish in high school. My school was the Espoo International Upper Secondary School.

Inspiration

I play historical stragtegy games such as the Total War series. These games feature excellent battle scenarios and chances for political manouvering. They give that little extra boost of inspiration for writing my novels. Largely my inspiration is based on the works of Cornwell and Iggulden, who write some of the most appraised historical fiction on the market. They have a knack for writing bloody human drama and stunning action sequences. The study of their techniques has greatly improved my skills as a writer, since I started with my first novel, a couple of years ago.
