    Inspiration

I am inspired by my environment. The books I read and the movies I watch have a powerful impact on my imagination. By the time I was 10 years old, I had read all the Nancy Drew mystery books written by Caroline Keene. Her stories so impressed me that I was motivated to write my own stories. Nothing came of them, of course, but the seed to write was planted in my mind and I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I love to curl up in my Ekornes chair with a good mystery book, or watch a complicated murder mystery on television. My next project is to write one. I wonder how many other children have been inspired by Caroline Keene.
