    Biography

    Paul Marks was born and educated in Upminster, Essex. In the mid 1970's he began a career in advertising, working in several London art studios. He moved to London in the 1980's and during this time wrote a trilogy of novels that remained unpublished and were subsequently destroyed. Marks trained as a teacher in the late 1980's and worked in education for ten years. He bore two daughters with his first partner and married his second partner in the 1990's. Finally, a novel; Flowerwolf, was published in 1999 followed by a book of short stories; The Sky was Full of Screaming Birds, in 2003. Marks lives and works as a musician and writer in Camden, London: reading, listening to music, watching Star Trek and collecting Penguin Modern Classics, LP's on vinyl, black-leather bookmarks and polka-dot shirts.
