I am a writer who prefers the outdoors to the indoors, the spontaneous to the planned, and the glass half-full to the glass half-empty! I completed my first mud run and loved every minute of it...

Biography
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Stanford University in 1986 with a degree in Human Biology. I worked for the last 20+ years in marketing, most of that time in sports and entertainment sponsorships, and have spent many hours over the last dozen years volunteering at the local schools. I am married with three children and we live in coastal San Diego, where I enjoy hiking, swimming in the ocean, and attending the multitude of athletic, academic and social activities of my children.
Inspiration
I have always nursed a secret passion for writing, since the days as a young girl I wrote thoughts, stories and poems in a journal. And after getting married and having three children, I have thoroughly enjoyed writing a Christmas letter every year to share our family world. Finally, I decided to take Oprah's words to heart and be true to myself and follow my passion. After fielding thousands of questions about my experience as a surrogate mom, I sat down and wrote about the unique emotional and physical challenges of a life-changing journey through surrogacy. It has been a challenging, learning and rewarding experience from putting down those first words on paper to holding the published book in my hand. And I have loved most of it, so I hope to write again.
