Biography

I was born and raised in London, England, but became a modern-day pilgrim when I moved to America in 1990. Sitting quietly at home with my computer, I both write and illustrate. I hope the imaginative world I lose myself in will bring joy and inspiration to the children who visit it.

Inspiration

My inspiration simply comes from the world around me. I've always seen the comical side of even the most ordinary of things. I would also call myself a people watcher. Have you ever really watched someone? Little things like someone reading a newspaper but never turning a page. Or the person who looks at their watch but doesn't know the time when you ask them. The person who pushes to the front of the crowd to cross the road, but then walks so slowly they end up at the back again. Comedy is everywhere, you've just got to look for it.
