Biography

I am married and the proud parent of three adopted children. I began working in adoption over 22 years ago and have assisted in the placement of over 400 children into loving homes. I have written a book on adoption for adoptive parents that helps them through the process. The adoption process can be daunting. Most adoption books focus on mainly on the legal aspects of the experience. "Adoption, The Best Gift - a handbook for prospective adoptive parents", while confirming the critical importance of having a great team of legal professionals involved, provides emotional guidance through each step of the journey of making the dream of a family a reality.

Inspiration

Because adoption is such an emotional and life changing process, I wanted to help people deal with the feelings that come up throughout the process. My husband and I adopted three children and had everything possible happen to us throughout the process. My hope is to encourage and support both the adoptive and birthparents.
