Biography

Born in England in 1962, my passion for film (alongside the other boy staples of music and football) was born shortly after. Throughout my career (in marketing) I developed an ambition to write about those inspirational people who drove these loves. 'Call Me Bud - Jack Lemmon On Film' is the first result. Written over 3 years, the book took shape from much on and offline research - alonsgide the distinctly pleasurable process of watching some 70 Lemmon films! I am married with one daughter aged 10 and we live in Kent, England. I hope however that my worldview goes somewhat further.

Inspiration

Why Mr Lemmon? So much of what I admire about film has been personified by him and it was this that first gave me the drive to write the book. In researching it too I found ever more to admire in the man quite aside from the actor. Like most of us, my view of life changes with age. I grew up with his films (alongside those of Woody Allen, the music of Cathal Coughlan and the books of Steinbeck & Keillor) therefore his work has been a part of my worldview. I have further projects in mind based on a similar respect for those who have created memorable and important work in my life - and too in many others'
