Inspiration
My first inspiration was my maternal grandfather, Miller Antonello, a natural storyteller, who always managed to, at my request, put me in the story too. My next inspiration was my uncle Arthur Johns, a profound and profane poet and patriot. Most of all, my parents inspired me to believe in myself and to achieve the things that conventional wisdom said were reserved for others. My literary inspirations range from Don Pendleton to Tom Clancy, W.E.B. Griffin to John Grisham, Robert Jordan to George R.R. Martin to Joe ABercrombie, and Robert Scott to Steven King. Throw in Bulgakov, Camus and Hemingway and I'm rounded out.
