56 Water Street is my first novel about best friends Derek and Ravine who can see a house that no one else can. I enjoy writing for the ages 9-12. It is my favourite age group to write for.

Biography
Melissa Strangway divides her time between raising her children, writing and designing an exclusive one-of-a-kind clothing for girls. Raised in Saskatchewan she now lives in Southwestern Ontario with her husband, two children and her cat Samsker who thinks he's a dog.Inspiration
My inspiration comes from my favourite childhood author Judy Blume. I remember going to bed every night with her and a flashlight, reading until wee hours in the morning. When I got older I enjoyed the scary novels written by Lois Duncan. My inspiration for 56 Water Street comes from my fascination for the supernatural and my love for writing.Favorite NB Titles
