Biography

I am a single mom of a beautiful 9 year old daughter, Lexy. We live in a small South Texas town (home of the famous King Ranch). I am a bookkeeper at a Wildlife Game Preserve, and Lexy is a 4th grade Honor student who hopes to one day become a Veterinarian. We both love doing stuff together, and now enjoy writing books together. We have also decided that we may soon have to become zoo keepers if we do not stop adopting animals!

Inspiration

Lexy and I adopted an abused kitten. Someone had cut off her ears when she was only two weeks old, and then threw her in a dumpster to die. After we adopted her, and found her to be wonderful, funny, and a little strange, we decided to write a book about her. We hope it help to bring awareness to animal cruelty, pet adoption, and to teach children that "We are all different on the outside, but we are all the same on the inside"!
