Biography

Married to husband Thomas, mother of two girls and grandomother to three boys and one girl, I was born in the little hamlet of Rockland Lake, New York. I got my love of story telling from my father Raymond C. Klopchin Sr. The eldest daughter of nine children I started writing in highschool and took it up agian in 2004. Tales Of The Half Shell is my first published novel, though I have many stories published over the internet.

Inspiration

My inspiration came from my dad, my stories are based on tales he told my siblings and myself during weekends gathered around the living room, or where ever the spirit took dad to tell a story. My dad often left us nine kids (along with his neices and nephews) waiting with baited breath for the climax of his stories. I have also been very influenced by the writings of Stephen King, whenever I get in a slump I pull out his novel on memoirs of his writing. I never know when a story is going to come, just looking at a group of leaves floating across a yard can ispire a ghostly tale. I also discuss stories and ideas with my Aunt Katherine Mees, she is co-authoring a novel of horror stores based on tales from the town I grew up in. I have learned writing comes from the heart, no matter what genre, sit back and allow your words to flow. When done don't forget to edit the prose, and then put it down and go back a day or two later, re-read, edit where needed and send it off.
