Biography

Marquita Herald lives in Maui, Hawaii and is a transformational guide, creator of the life by design blog Inspired Gift Giving (IGG) Tips, Tools & Tantalizing Ideas and the author of Stepping Stones to Greater Resilience, Inspirational Words of Wisdom for Challenging Times, and coming in September, It's Your Time Now - A Guide to Living Your Life by Design. Her mission is to inspiring readers to embrace that regardless of age or the circumstances of your life, it's never too late to become the person you were meant to be and create the life you really want for yourself. When you follow her writing you'll soon learn that she does not write about 'quick fixes" but rather strategies to build personal confidence, live with purpose, make a difference in the world, and develop greater personal resilience to thrive through life's inevitable challenges. Marquita's professional background includes a successful 20 year career in hotel sales and marketing followed by nearly a decade of life and small business coaching. It was during her work with entrepreneurs and small business owners that she realized her passion for providing the tools, inspiration and encouragement to those who desire to intentionally create the life they really want and deserve.

Inspiration

Like so many people, I grew up in a disfunctional family. I noticed early in life how some people were far more resilient and able to deal with adversity than others and it's always fascinated me. This interest intensified during my years as a small business coach working with people striving to create a more fulfilling lifestyle. Ultimately this led to the creating of my life by design blog and writing my first book, Stepping Stones to Greater Resilience.
