Biography
Marsha was born an only child to a single mother in the Cherokee Nation Capitol known as Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She first found her passion for writing in grade school which she practiced all the way through high school. After high school Marsha took a break in her writing to discover what she wanted to do in life not realizing that she had already found it. For a couple of years she did not do any writing, instead Marsha focused all of her free time with her new daughter. Once her daughter got to an age where she didn’t need constant and total supervision Marsha began working on her first book; Echoes of the Past, a history of the small community where her family has lived for over a hundred years. Though this book was self published four years later there is still a demand for copies of it. After the local success of her book Marsha decided to try working on a second one. This book was titled Tribute to Our Veterans. Following this one was another called Oklahoma; Path To Statehood, then her last nonfiction title Elias Boudinot; A Biography, was created. These books were all self published so Marsha decided it was time to try a fiction novel and see if it would truly be good enough to be accepted by a traditional publisher. Now, thanks to Publish America, she has a chance to become a truly published author.
Inspiration
As an only child I spent much of my time playing with my imagination. I took what I created in my mind and had some wonderful adventures on the farm where I live. As I grew older there were many times when I found comfort in my writing when nothing else seemed to work. Now my daughter and my family are a large imspiration in my work. They enjoy reading what I write and I enjoy writing it for them.
