Biography

Canadian by birth, I have lived in the United States all of my adult life and became an American citizen in 2001. I've written almost every day for the last fifteen years, producing seven full-length novels and several published short stories. One of my books, Minnie and the Manatees, won first place in the Arizona Authors' Association contest in 2003. In three succeeding years my other three books--The Filigree Cross, Claire Walker and Murder Times Two--were finalists in the Southwest Writers' competitions. Inspiration

I love words. I love putting pen to paper occasionally and watching how one continuous line can form a word, and that blank sheet suddenly contains a message. If I write 'acceptance' on that page it will mean something different to every person who sees the writing. If I write 'Jesus' it may divide readers. If I write 'love' or 'child' it will most likely unite them. The possibilities of a single word are endless, and we create manuscripts of thousands and thousands of words. What power!
