Biography

Maria Taylor born in Rocky Face Ga., raised by my grandmother, who inspired me. I am the author of A Vengeful Love and A New Beginning for Amy. I have three children two boys and a girl who keep me very busy. My husband travels alot but we have a wonderful relationship. I started writing a lot just last year, but I got into it when I was about twenty five. I love art as well, I sketch and send some of my sketches to the North Ga fair every year. I just enjoy them being seen, sometime I win and sometimes I don't but I feel about them just like i do my writing. If I never get rich or become famous at least my work is out there for the public to see.

Inspiration

My grandmother. I lived with my grandmother ever since I was five years old. My mother and I just didn't get along like my grandmother and I did. She was my best friend, someone I could lean on, talk to, someone who was always there for me. She was also a great writer. She won lots of awards for her poetry and short stories. She has a poem published at the National Library of Congress and it's in a time capsule waiting to be opened in the near future. My grandmother inspired me, every ounce of creativity that I have inside me comes from her. I miss her deeply, she passed away just last October 2012. Its hard not being able to hear her inspire me or comment on my work, or just tell me that she loves me. Juanita Pickel August 20 1932-Oct.29th 2012
