Biography

Through her own experiences of physical and emotional abuse, failed relationships and personal tragedy, Marcia is able to pull from a wealth of experience and strength. She is remarkably able to relate to people from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds. Her own story of surviving pain and crisis is shared in her memoir, Gladwoman. As an author, publisher and business leader, Marcia has led organizations to experience tremendous growth, while increasing profits and improving services to thousands of clients. Dedicated to helping others reach beyond their goals, she encourages authors and businesses to set their sights beyond expectations. Most well known for improving employee satisfaction through training and team building, compliance and profitability has soared within each organization that Marcia has led. She has an innate ability to quickly analyze situations and has led organizations through positive change that has greatly improved employees' contributions and ability to lead markets. Marcia attained her MBA and her Bachelors of Science in Business Management. Her education also includes graduate studies in healthcare communication. Marcia is able to share her business expertise and personal experiences through public speaking, seminars, and conferences. She has spoken at national conferences and at local events. Marcia served as Chair of the Whole Child Project Manatee program and was a founding member of the Manatee County United Way Women's Leadership Initiative. She has served on numerous committees and coalitions that address issues of homelessness, child welfare, HIV/AIDS awareness, youth risk behaviors, adult and child mental health, at-risk pregnant women and infants, and much more. She has been instrumental in expanding services and prevention efforts in numerous communities.
