Poems are what I love to write; but also stories I keep in sight. My first published book is about becoming a parent; the premise of the book is quite apparent.

Biography
Born in New York and moved at the tender age of eight years old to Florida. Since my parents were moving I made a wise decision and went with them. Attended school in Dade County and more college classes in Broward. Moved to Broward after I was married at the age of 28. Twelve very long years later realized my dream of being called "MOM". Worked for the Miami-Dade Police Department for ten years; was a legal secretary for about eight years and at the age of 39 I was in a front-end collision with a Peterbuilt truck that pulled out in front of me. Although I always felt I was here for a reason; that accident, or my still being on earth, solidified my belief that I had more to do here and that I was destined to do, be, or create greatness. One example is my children; if things had turned out differently, they would still have been born but not known each other or had me for their mom. Guess it is apparent that I am a very spiritual person. I am a loving, giving, caring, creative, (my daughter says I am weird) intelligent and very ethical. I am very detail oriented and somewhat of a compulsive perfectionist. That stems from my grandmother who was a painter and since I appeared to be the only granddaughter interested in arts and crafts, she once told me I was her favorite and that I was perfect. (really didn't want that label because that is why I strove to be some perfect).
Inspiration
As a child I was very shy and writing was a great way to express myself. Mainly poems; poems about everything from butterflies and telephones to Hurricane Andrew and 9/11. Going through infertility myself and a few others decided to write a book; guess I am the only one who followed through. I actually wrote the manuscript in the 1980's and by some fluke; after moving several times; I came across the manuscript and the time was right to get published. I do come from a creative background; grandparents were artists and creative. My mom did some sewing and needlework; but my grandmother was a very big influence. I write about what I know. I am a romantic but I am not interested in writing romance novels. I enjoy writing real life experiences, poems and children's books. My biggest inspiration is life, itself. Waking up each day is a blessing; so I want to make the most of it.
