    Biography

Linda Schroeder divides her time between the bright sun of California and the high mountains of Colorado. She has Master's degrees in English and Audiology and has published a college text. Linda's first career was teaching English. She became interested in communication disorders and began a second career as an audiologist and aural rehabilitation therapist working with deaf and hard of hearing children and adults. Currently she studies and practices Chinese brush painting because it celebrates the vitality and energy of nature. She follows art blogs and art theft blogs. She writes about art and artists on her blog at www.artistsandthieves.com and is working on her next novel, an art theft mystery titled Goya's Witch.

    Inspiration

I am inspired by the artist Christo who creates very large, temporary art installations. He says, "All of our work is about joy and beauty. We have always wished to create something beautiful and we spend all our money, time and energy doing that. . . . It is this sense of joy and tenderness for things that do not last that we wish to endow to our projects."
