Inspiration
Linda’s mother, Fran, was the inspiration for her business. Sharing a home for the last 12 years of Fran’s life, Linda learned the art of preparing for the expected and the unexpected. Life planning, combined with caregiving, became her passion in life. Because her subjects are things we often avoid in our own lives, she combines high-content common sense with a good deal of humor and real-life choices. She is known for her “straight talk” and unique approach to her topics. Inspiration for her books come from her environment. Linda's inspiration for her most recent book, Every Generation Needs a New Revolution came almost by accident - the result of an ASU professor relaying the challenges of teaching the youth of today. They just didn't understand each other and didn't know what to do. Linda began researching the issue, and as a result of that research, wrote her fourth book. Linda's first book, Planning for Tomorrow, answered the question, “What should I do and how do I start?” A Caregivers Journey came from sharing her Mother’s journey toward the end of life and how caregiving can very quickly result in burnout if the caregiver isn’t informed. Linda’s third book, Fran’s Story, is her Mother’s life story that Linda asked Fran to write. Future books will feature such topics as the single life, cultural differences, and maybe even a Boomer’s handbook. Watching the news, reading the paper and just listening to others talk provide her with ideas for articles, book chapters and workshops. Linda is a dynamic, no-nonsense speaker who gets to the heart of the matter using her wit and natural ability to relate to her audience. Her keynotes, workshops and seminars are high energy, high content, and high quality. She exhibits an understanding of her material that she communicates to her audience with ease. She writes in an easy-to-read, conversational style that follows her verbal ability to touch her audiences.
