Biography

I am an adjunct professor at our local college and have been teaching for 20 years. I am the author of the true crime-memoir Surviving Murder which recounts the horrific murders of my aunt and uncle by their son. I am a published poet and have written several greeting cards along the way. I am quick witted (or dim witted, depending on who you ask) and have a great sense of humor. I am independent and creative and love a challenge. I have battled a chronic disease for the last 23 years and most days, I win.

Inspiration

Poetry is my first love and I have been writing it since I was 13. My inspiration comes from many places - nature, especially the sea, has always infused me as a writer and as a person. There are a few people in my life who also inspire me on a daily basis, especially my forever friend, Debbie, who is a photographer. We are currently collaborating on a poetry/photography collection based on the awe inspiring landscape of Vermont.
