Biography

LeaAnn Tate is a licensed nurse and mother of two, from which she draws much of the inspiration for her story. In addition to nursing and writing, she is enjoying raising her two children in the small, rural Texas town where she grew up. Burdened Promises is her first novel. Ms. Tate is currently working on her second novel, and enjoys hearing reviews, stories, or inspirations that you may have drawn from her published works, tweets, even her blogs!

Inspiration

My influences for the new book came from many experiences in my own life. But, I must say my inspiration for the book came when I was faced with a divorce and the thought of not always being with my children came into sight. It drove some of the deepest writings within the novel. The story's heroin was born out of the reaction to this fear.
