Biography

Christian conservative Whitie, 60 year old native Californian, married to Mexican-American high-school sweetheart, one adult daughter. Middle child of alcoholic father, sober mother. Humor is my favorite genre in books and film. We went for guardianship of my nephew and niece five years back due to my younger brothers stupid selfish choices. We spend our time trying to survive the challenges of raising two kids who were poorly parented. I am a Mentor Mom in the local Relative Caregiver support group, offering support and tips to those who are raising children who are not their own. Recently got a bike so the four of us can fellowship while exercising and picked up the golf clubs again.

Inspiration

After listening to many other Relative Caregivers I decided to write a fiction based on our saga. Relative Caregivers need to know they are not the problem, the bio-parents and the courts are the problem. They also need to know they are not horrible people for having feelings of anger and resentment towards the parents and courts.
