Biography

Kit McKittrick is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kingston Systems, Inc. and is CEO of Parallel Robotic Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Kingston, a public company. Kit is also a founder and CEO of HoloDek Gaming Inc and Cargo Force, Inc., a start-up commercial airlift/airfreight company whose mission is to support US industry, especially the heavy manufacturers. Mr. McKittrick has been involved in over twenty start ups and consulted for many other companies. He has extensive experience in finance and securities. Kit has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgetown University, where he attended the McDonough School of Business.

Inspiration

I have spent 40 years working on various entrepreneurial endeavors. The effort requires an understanding of human nature, finance and motivational behavior. Over the years I have developed a system for identifying life's patterns. It has helped me better understand the people I work with and my own life's patterns. I call it "Life Cyphering." After developing this process to use on myself, I had success in using it in my business practice. I have belonged to many business and executive management associations. One of the objectives I learned in the Young Presidents' Organization was to always try to provide "take home" value to the other members. With this in mind, when I got the idea to write a novel, I wanted to give the reader more than hopefully a fun story or some fact based history but to also organize it in such a way to inspire the reader to ask questions or develop their own opinions about the material presented. I have long been involved with what has been termed "Blue Ocean Strategy." For me, its meaning is to enjoy a business environment where you are first in the space and the waters are not "red" with competition. In The Georgetown Cypher, I draw attention to perhaps one of the best blue ocean strategies of all time and what it takes to maintain it. I have also grown to be a staunch advocate for meditative practice which can be very helpful in the mind/body connection. I have incorporated these interests into The Georgetown Cypher.
