Biography

I definitely live a typical Florida life... Lounging by the pool, going to theme parks and stocking up on extra batteries, food and water from May 1 through November 1 to brace for the forcasted hurricanes. I also live the typical single mom life- I have the following signs posted clearly on my forehead..."Mom's Taxi" and "Don't worry I'll take care of everything!" I also live a vibrant Christian life... I love my church, I love my friends and helping others and I LOVE telling my "God moments" stories. I spend my days helping companies to develop a behavioral management style of leadership while I spend my nights writing. My dream is that one day I will be able to write full time with my feet propped up on the porch of my beach bungalow sipping an occasional mojito.

Inspiration

My grandmother used to tell me to "write it all down" when I was a child and going through challenging times. I wrote a poem entitled "The Box in the Back of my Closet" that was an emotional outpouring of the letters that I would send up to God with all of my prayers. My writing has always been a creative outlet for me. I formed my training and consulting company in April 2000. I market my company by writing articles in magazines and speaking at conferences. In 2006, I felt like my life was falling apart (I was turning 40!!) and I prayed for some guidance. God was nudging me to write a children's book. I self published "God is in the Refrigerator" later that year and now I have the self publishing fever! My second book, "God is in the Window" won a Moonbeam Children's Book Award and now I am publishing "God is in the Treasure Box" in 2009. I am inspired by the hard work of other self published authors and I am inspired by God as I am reminded every day that, "With God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
