Biography

Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1971, Kevin Morrison attributes some of his artistic talent from his late grandmother on his mother's side. His story-writing talents, however, actually come from a real life experience. One day long ago when Kevin was at a video rental store he was depressed about the many low-grade movies that were on display for rent and the quality of their content. Then it occurred to Kevin, "Why not write something spectacular!" From that moment on Kevin started asking co-workers what they felt would be something they might like to read about. As the ideas started to develop they went onto paper. From paper the ideas started becoming parts of fantastic stories. As Kevin began developing his plots he fell back on his technical writing skills learned in school and throughout his studies at Harrisburg Area Community College. He was determined to write material that people would not be able to put down, once they began reading. As Kevin continued his writings he would constantly look for inspirations from all things around him. His hobbies, which include watching movies, role-playing, videogames, and martial arts, also continue to generate ideas for his unique concepts in the fantasy realm works. Kevin's earlier writings were only the cornerstone for his current book. As friends and co-workers began reading some of his material they were able to provide invaluable ideas that helped to shape his writing. Kevin believed that he was genuinely on to something, but had no idea what the future had in store for him. Looking for something that would continue to fuel his hunger for his writing Kevin was encouraged by a close friend, which was also an avid reader of sci-fi/fantasy, to take his collection of short stories and consider turning them into a series of novels. From that moment going forward Kevin began revising his stories into a manuscript format. After much review by friends over the quality of the storyline Kevin knew it was time to search out a publisher that might be interested in printing his first fiction/fantasy novel. Kevin assures us that his first novel, "The Accursed Realm: The Blood Gem" is just the beginning and that, in fact, he will continue his endeavors in writing by engaging in other fantasy world creations. Within his fantasy realm there are characters that will star in their own novels in places and times similar to the ones you'll read about in his latest novel. With Kevin's creative imagination you can rest assured that there will be many more books to come. Inspiration

As it is stated in one of my newspaper interviews on my website (www.theaccursedrealm.com) and bio, I was motivated to write something better than what I saw in some of the poor quality movies I have seen at the rental store. My hope is to restore the dignity and intelligence associated with vampires, werewolves, demons, humans, and others in my good versus evil story telling. For those who prefer creatures of the night to have a certain sense of morality or nobility in society, they will enjoy my works.
