Biography
K E Page was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne and now lives in Sheffield where she was a student and never managed to leave. She has completed a MPhil in Contemporary Literature which focused on Masculinity and Violence. While studying for her MPhil she became interested in the relationship between violence and sexuality which inspired her to start to write her own stories. She enjoys reading, watching old movies, drinking real ale and complaining about the state of the world today.
Inspiration
K E Page was inspired by the reading that she did during her MPhil - particularly the writings Judith Butler, Kaja Silverman, and Roland Barthes. They helped to form the ideas that are behind her novel Shattered Reflections. She is also inspired by writers such as Dennis Cooper, Andrew Holleran, Margaret Atwood, Angela Carter and Neil Bartlett.
