Biography

Karin Paparelli, a professional Nashville songwriter and songwriting instructor, is also the author of Love Life; It'll Love You Back, Building the Kingdom, A Monkey Manual for Songwriters and Prairie Fire. Karin holds a BS from Belmont University, is presently working on her JD and makes her home on a farm in Tennessee with husband Tony and their five children. Just for fun: Karin plays as hard as she works dividing her time between the ocean, the mountains and her farm. She enjoys horseback riding, camping, the beach, spending time with friends and family, quilting and growing food.

Inspiration

When I was just 13 years old my father was suddenly killed on the job at the age of 34. That one event changed my entire life and still exercises influence in the decisions I make today. I learned very early that life is not predictable, nor is it permanent. Our days are as fragile as glass, as fleeting as the morning dew and as powerful as we allow them to be. I decided to make each day count, to live my life to the fullest and to help encourage others to do the same. We all share tragedies and traumas. Life is not without its bumps and bruises, but that is not the whole of this experience. Certainly without rain we would never appreciate the sunshine. Without sorrow, would we even know joy? How could we recognize love without indifference? So you see, you and I have the ability to distill from whatever life gives us truth, beauty, and love. Loving life is a result of purposely perceiving life as good. I earnestly believe that when you love life - it will love you back.
