Biography

After graduating from the University of Tennessee and serving in the Air Force, Jon held a number of successful marketing management positions with two of the largest insurnace companies in the United States. He also served on the advisory boards of other insurers. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of several associations and has served in an elected capacity on a local government land use advisory group. He is the co-founder and former President/CEO of Summit Benefits, an employee benefit brokerage and consulting firm. Throughout his career, he has always maintained a keen interest in exploring the various management and personal behavioral changes that people have made in order to achieve success. He now devotes his time to writing how-to and self-development books and material that encourage and enable people to become more successful.

Inspiration

In my high school and college days, I had very little interest in writing. In fact, at that time in my life I hated to write anything. However, after entering the business world and having to write extensive consulting reports for major companies, I became enamored with the magic of writing. The experience of being able to take invisable thoughts and weave them into tangible text became more and more exciting. Now writing has beome my passion.
