Biography
Jolyn Wells-Moran, Ph.D. is a researcher, freelance writer and editor who has written six published books, hundreds of articles for magazines, newspapers and the web, and education materials for colleges and universities. She specializes in writing on health and mental health/psychology topics. She has writtten on a variety of other topics as well, as a ghost writer,edits books and articles and is a part-time researcher/writer for a state-of-the-art consumer health information site. Jolyn's Ph.D. is in Health and Human Services. She also has degrees in Social Work, Psychology and English, and advanced courses in professional writing. She worked in the mental health and allied disability fields for 24 years while developing her writing skills and completing her first three books. Jolyn lives part of her time in Mexico and part in the US. She has a beloved dog in each of the two countries and a Mexican cat who is the best calico desert feline in the world. She paints in oils whenever she can and has had her impressionist, plein aire landscapes shown in galleries and exhibits.
Inspiration
An intense curiosity, concern for the well-being and health of everyone, dismay over health care in the US and the need to make a buck in order to survive are Jolyn's inspirations for writing.
