Either a love of the Renaissance, or an unrecognized attention deficit, dictate my life
Look and Listen
Biography
I was born 89 years ago in Rochester, N. Y., and spent a lot of time in my early years running a trap line and hunting. I have degrees from 3 universities, published 6 texts and a lexicon in 4 languages, and have lectured and consulted throughout the world. I served in WWII and Korea where, among other activities, I taught basic knife fighting to recruits. I've played golf at an international level, done and taught sculpture, boated extensively, and now do competative shooting and write novels. A second, The Elymais Coin is scheduled for release in October 2008. If interested further, my web page is www.johnhmanhold.com/
Inspiration
I've always enjoyed writing. Textbooks were fun and the lexicon an enjoyable challenge. My wife has urged me to write a novel for years. The historical genre seemed most logical because of a fascination with history, a part played by family in history, and a life spent in research.
