Biography
Having been a reporter and editor and then ran for political office, I began to wonder about the relationship between politicians and voters. I interviewed over 500 lobbyists, elected officials, volunteer advocates and academic researchers. They all agree ordinary people can have significant political power when they communicate with the people they can vote for. But you must "Keep On Voting After The Election," or you leave politicians free to do whatever they want. My book explains how this works to empower anyone willing to invest minimal time and effort.
Inspiration
Every day I see discouraged, cynical people learn how to create change in our political system. They make our democracy work. That justifies my existence on the planet.
