Biography

Writing is my first muse, besides my husband. I love it when an idea with details pops in my head. I drop whatever I'm doing and write the idea on the closest piece of paper. Historical accuracy is a must in all my mss, as I feel children and young adults these days have lost touch with the past. I like writing YA mysteries and 18th/19th century mss mostly, and right now I'm in the middle of ms number 3 of a mid-grade series. When I can be pried away from my laptop, I soak up all things outdoors - gardening, camping, rafting, surfing and visiting historic towns. I'm high spirited and bubbly, and maybe one day I'll grow up. I've been a wife for 23 wonderful years, and am a mother of 2 grown boys. I very much enjoy chatting with my friends and taking trips. I love to make to-do lists and I hate to procrastinate.

Inspiration

My inspiration is simply all the books I dove into as a child. My favorite place, during my school years, was my bedroom which looked like the county library. These books allowed me the gift of being the lead character and gave me entrance into a whole world of mystery, fantasy, and science fiction. I began writing in the 9th grade, and while there were many interruptions, there was nothing which ever put a complete stop to my writing career. Now, being a full time writer, I have the memories of those lead characters' elloquence, emotions, and believability, and they have become my most amazing muse.
