Biography
A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Jill has lived in many places including West Hartford, New York City, Hollywood, Mexico City, Vancouver (Canada) and currently Sedona, Arizona. She has been a recording artist (Jill Williams, RCA Victor), a Broadway show writer (RAINBOW JONES), a broadcaster (CBC Radio), a performance poet (THE NATURE SONNETS, Gival Press, 2001; A WEAKNESS FOR MEN, Woodley & Watts, Inc., 2004), a pet photographer (HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH PETS AND ANIMALS, HPBooks, 1983), a creative writing instructor (Vancouver Community College), and, most recently, a rug muralist (www.sedonarugpaintings.com). She has also been a love addict. This has caused her much inner turmoil and created many roller coaster relationships. Jill has finally come to terms with her past and feels that by sharing her own experience, strength and hope, she can help others decide when to say “Enough is enough.”
Inspiration
How many of us can't bring ourselves to end a relationship that we know isn't going anywhere? CONFESSIONS OF A LOVE ADDICT (Aberdeen Bay Books) is a candid portrait of one woman's struggle with this particular dilemma. My story begins on New Year's Eve when I receive an email from my ex, asking me to give our tumultuous relationship one last chance. It has been an on-again, off-again affair stretching over a period of fifteen years. This will be our eighth attempt at reconciliation. The book is divided into three sections: Hope, Reality, Resolution, where I share numerous flashbacks to help me understand (and change) my love-addicted patterns. It is hoped readers will discover some new self-truths as well.
