Biography

My passion from a young age, has always been to write, write and write some more. After having spent most of my working life switching from one career to another, I decided to make a life change and go to university as a mature student in a bid to retrain. Previously my careers consisted of been either being a Baker or Engineer, so I was more surprised than most, when following university I managed to secure a number of articles in a national weekly newspaper. From then on I spent a short time honing my journalistic skills at a major national daily broadsheet newspaper and major magazine publishing house. I later went on to work for Mens Fitness Magazine and two leading industry magazines entitled Print and Publishing. In addition, I have spent a number of years writing for numerous other publications as a freelance journalist until the economic downturn stepped in and closed the publication I worked at. I continue to work in communications, but have never as yet had the courage to step up and make the commitment write a book; well that was until now. My first piece of work is entitled The Reluctant Mr Mum and is based around the years I spent retraining which resulted in my wife and I swapping roles and me becoming a full time house-husband. I enjoy all forms of communication and with the emergence of the iphone I have taken a real liking to podcasts specifically BBC World Book Club, itunes Meet the Author and many other author related recording.

Inspiration

My driving inspiration in live is always to achieve at doing what I love in life. Writing has always been a love and a passion and as such my goal is to become a published author. It has been said that every person as at least one book in in them, I hope The Reluctant Mr Mum turns out to be a series of three, with other book to follow as I build my career. Previously my reading consisted of mostly of academic books, however have recently completed my studies, I have discovered an interest in novels of no specific genre.
