Inspiration
My patients and families, while working in hospice, inspired me to write 'The Fine Art of Dying'. It was very rewarding to make such a huge difference each day working in this field. Daily, I was thanked profusely by these families that needed guidance for this difficult time. I noticed that the issues were similar with each patient and family. I was going out daily and giving the same message to new faces. Although each of us grieve and cope with death and dying in different ways, the basic needs and desires are similar. Many of my patients and families encouraged me to write a book to help others cope with the dying process...and so I have.
