Biography

I'm the typical late bloomer who has always had a talent for writng, editing, and proofreading, but did nothing with it outside the corporate world. Now I'm looking forward to "retiring" into what I do best -- editing. My three cats are looking forward to having a stay-at-home mom, and my daughter, who's found out she's got the same talents, is joining me in my business (B4Deadline). In my spare time, I'm a huge football fan (love my Chiefs!) and a not-very-talented golfer who loves to play every chance I get. I love interacting with people who are trying to find their niche in life, because I think I can help. So I can provide some free advice, but am also looking at building a business.

Inspiration

My mother is my inspiration. I say "is" because, even though she has passed away, she always encouraged me to do what I wanted to do and do it well. Even though I have put off taking her advice, I've decided to "just do it." She will be the first subject in a series of articles my daughter and I are writing on the lives of everyday women who, though they never got the publicity for it, inspired others around them by their actions, humility, and care for people who need an extra push to do what they can do better than anyone. If anyone knows that type of woman, we'd love to know about her.
