Biography

Ms. Bierce fought through blindness to gain a college degree (Edinboro (PA) State College), raise three children and establish a writing career. She has pioneered in electronic publishing, contracting with HSWF and Awe-Struck eBooks in their formative years. Active in the Electronic Publishing Internet Connection since its inception, she has encouraged and mentored several writers on the path to publication.

Inspiration

Ms. Bierce began amusing herself with stories when she was seven. Because her life was hemmed in to things close to her, sounds, touch and blurred images, she was deeply affected when she got limited vision at the age of six. Drawing on life as it presents itself, Ms. Bierce writes about the places where she has lived, the businesses she observes and tries to break rules where she can. Her major work ONCE AGAIN A PRINCESS was inspired by a free-flowing exercise of writing a page of script by hand without stopping. The character who emmerged eventually fit into the historical reorganization of Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The princess was called to lead her families former principality into democracy. Other books center on the construction industry, quilting, and small-town life.
