Biography

I attended drama school and now work as a film and television extra, appearing in numerous TV productions, including director Nigel Cole’s film Made in Dagenham (2010). I recently obtained a degree in English Literature as a mature student, which further fuelled my desire to write. I have had one novel, But a Walking Shadow published and I am currently working on a second novel and a children’s book. I live in Essex and I am heavily involved with amateur drama locally both acting and directing. I also volunteer as a learning support worker in local schools. Additionally, I look after my new grandson Logan, two days a week. I am outgoing, sociable, enjoy a laugh and I am accident prone.

Inspiration

I have always been a reader from an early age. I particularly loved the classics and Victorian literature in particular. Subsequently I have studied the period and I am also interested in Pre-Raphaelite art. Therefore, my first novel was set in that period. Authors I particularly read again and again are Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte. However, I would love to be able to write like Daphne DuMaurier.
