Biography

I'm a 'late bloomer' who didn't start writing till I retired so I've missed my chance to grow up to be Mary Higgins Clark. I've got several BIP, two came out in hardback in 2007 and two more will be out in 2009 (a romance-suspense in Feb. 2009 and a cozy mystery in June or July of 2009 which is the first of the Maryvale series. There will be a Maryvale cozy mystery every year as long as I can see the monitor-LOL I and my grown children live in Arkansas with a big kitty with a Masters in Relaxation and a tiny Chihuahua with a long list of stuff to bark at. I'm one of those addicted writers who loves to write in spite of still having to squeeze ink cartridges out of the grocery list (prestige makes a very thin sandwich-which comment you will see on my Author's Den page.:-) One of the best things about writing is hearing from and getting e-mails from readers and fellow writers. I'm proud to be with such a talented and interesting group.

Inspiration

I started out ANGRY! I saw an ad from a famous China Co. advertising a figure of Father Christmas as Kris Kringle! I feared the old legends were going to be lost for our children. I researched clear back to the Etruscans - the character going from village to village to herald Satrnalia - through St. Nick etc, pulling it all together in a 3-book screenplay. I've never sold it but by the time I got through with it I was hooked on writing. I'm still a member of the local writing group I joined, Sisters in Crime, and more digests than I can read some days - love them all :-) I am looking forward to reading about all the other writers here. Most of what I've written are cozy mysteries which is what I like to read (and what I'm working on currently.)
