Biography

Over the years, J. Hale Turner traded her love for song and dance with writing. After publishing stories for young readers, her extended dream was to introduce her collection of colorful and fun-loving characters for the entire family to enjoy. She chose ORANGE CLOUDS BLUE SKY as the first novel to begin the procession. Her previously published children's books (pre-school) include, I LOVE TO SING AND DANCE and MISS BETTY'S DAYCARE. She's presently working on her next novel and her new young readers' Joseph series. Ms. Turner enjoys gardening, crafts, or restoring something old into something new around the house, “which always rejuvenates my writing muse.” Her upcoming project is her beloved Joseph series. She lives with her family in North Carolina.

Inspiration

Inspiration surrounds me everyday through family and friends. I am from a long line of strong women who survived life's obstacles and set the pattern for their young futures. Today, our generation is scattered across the map, but we are close at heart. Gatherings are special events for all of us, especially when we reflect growing up and watch our own youngsters laugh at our stories. Each family member carries their own special tale about life to share, to inspire. Because of my legacy, I have no other choice but to write stories for families, as a whole, to enjoy. Some of my friends are artists and writers, while others share my passion for gardening or just plain good old fashion friendship. We talk about almost everything, and thanks to them and other sources I can create more stories. Good friends are a treasure.
