Biography

I came to Key West to be the business editor/writer for the daily newspaper and after five years there was asked to be the city's public information office. I now write my mystery series and occasionally cover news events for Reuters New Service, Miami Bureau. Since moving to the Keys, I have sailed to Cuba on my boat a few times and flown once from Miami. I have five books available on Amazon and on Kindle/Nook.

Inspiration

I first became interested in writing because of Ernest Hemingway, hence my moving to Key West and have been a participant in the city's Hemingway Days events. I have been interviewed on CBS regarding the writer and his city. Today, I think James Lee Burke's writing has had the most influence on me, though there are many other mystery writers that I learn from each time I read one of their books.
