Inspiration
My mission is to Promote Awareness through the Written Word. I have always loved to read and writing is a natural extension of reading. My first book, Understanding Water Rights and Conflicts, shares ideas and concepts about a vital reusable resource, water. This book is a tribute to the many years I spent working with my father, Herbert T. Young in the private development of water in Colorado and the western United States. I wrote this book to raise the level of public awareness about a resource few people know much about, but that is essential to life. My latest book, The Orphan Boy, A Love Affair with Mining, weaves history, technical information about mining and personal stories into a book about my Dad. Written to allow my son and daughter to know my Dad, The Orphan Boy preserves a piece of Colorado mining history for future generations. My books and ebooks are all designed to raise the level of awareness through the written word. It is critical that we continue to read, learn and expand our horizons to deal with the challenges facing us.
