    Inspiration

God is my first and highest inspiration, followed immediately by the kind of writing you find in classic literature of the 19th and 20th centuries. I believe it was Faulkner who said, "Always dream and shoot higher than you know how to. Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself." Contemporaries who have influenced my writing include Don Pendleton, David Morrell, Donald Hamilton, Scott Lynch, Simon Kernick, Jack Cavanaugh, Jerry B. Jenkins...and on the list goes.
