Biography

Age 52 I am married with one child, a teen. I've enjoyed a 25+ year career as a counselor and administrator for youth counseling programs. I volunteer as a mentor to a 10 year old boy and as an officer in the conservation organization, The Illinois Smallmouth Alliance. I am a member of the National Fishing Lure Collector Club. "Buck Falls Club" is my first book. I am feeling very productive and have several other things in process.

Inspiration

When I was a baby, my father and some buddies formed a club to purchase rural lake property in northern Wisconsin. Spending part of every summer there was a formative experience that kindled my love of the outdoors. I spent part of July there this year (2007). That is, I believe, the 50th year that I've spent time at the same lake. At 18 I attended a 26 day Outward Bound program, and at 21 went on a climb of Mt Rainier. These experiences furthered my committment to an outdoor life.
